I went to Paris for the first weekend. Despite all the negative comments of Paris, I really love that city. I've heard so many people telling me that Parisians are not nice but I don't feel it at all. My first day there, there were some women under the Eiffel Tower hustling me by saying that they were orphan and handicapped children organization, and I stopped like a tourist. And a guy passing by said "Non non non non! Certification!" and gave me a sign to leave. That was a really nice gesture wasn't it.
I took TGV and stayed in Louvre Youth Hostel during my trip to Paris. Both are highly recommended if you are going to Paris later. The first day I went to Notre Dame, Arc de Triomphe, Louvre and Tour Eiffel. Very touristy but super efficient. My friends and I drank some champagne at night and watched the Tower blinking every hour. It was amazing.
The second day I went to Versailles, Galaries Lafayette and had dinner at a nice Chinese restaurant. Not as busy as the first day but still lovely.
On Sunday I had a small tour in Marseille. I heard there was a Van Gogh show but turned out not to be so impressive. And to find the museum I spent an hour getting lost and desperate. However, it was nice to see the Longchamp Palace to compensate my long walk under the sun. Then I went to the old port and Notre Dame de Garde. The latter was beautiful. It was pretty much the highest point of Marseille and one can see the landscape of the entire city and the big blue sea. The breeze was nice and made my trip not so miserable after all :) Btw, to go the the Notre Dame de Garde, you just need to take the bus 68 from the Old Port to the final destination.

And today is the 100th Tour de France! I bought a bag of souvenirs for 20 Euros, which is not too expensive. We found a spot and waited for around an hour. It was exciting with the yelling crowd and the bikers passing so fast. We ran to another spot but failed to catch another glance :(
Today my host mom taught us to make crèpes and I made Nutella, banana and strawberry crèpe. Not so good-looking but I'm getting there!
Next week I will try to cook some Chinese plates for my host mom since I'm leaving pretty soon. Well, time flies. Life is composed of saying goodbye.
